At A Picnic Affair, we recommend booking your proposal planner at least 4 to 8 weeks in advance, especially if you’re dreaming of a private rooftop, luxury décor, or planning during peak season. With only a limited number of proposals accepted each month, early booking is essential to secure your preferred date and location. Last-minute proposals are possible, but availability may be limited.

Simply fill out our Booking form or give us a call. If your date is unavailable, we’ll provide an alternative date. Don’t worry – we’re here to look after you so we’ll do our best to make sure you get the date you need.

If weather conditions aren’t suitable for an outdoor picnic, A Picnic Affair will work with you to find the best alternative. Options may include moving your picnic to a covered or indoor backup location of your choice, rescheduling within the same week (subject to availability), or receiving a credit for a future date to be used within 6 months.

Dessert and balloon add-ons are non-refundable, as they are custom ordered; however, arrangements can be made for pickup if a credit is issued.

While we’re happy to assist in suggesting indoor backup locations (subject to availability and any venue fees), securing an indoor location is the client’s responsibility.

Absolutely! We can set up your picnic at any approved public park in Denver, private venue (pending availability) or a private location of your choice.

   In the week leading up to your proposal, we schedule a call to confirm all details, address any last-minute queries, and provide helpful tips for your special moment.

5. Customized Proposal Setting:
   Our dedicated team works diligently to create a romantic proposal setting tailored to you.

6. Arrival and Proposal:
   On the day of your proposal, all the details are in place. You simply need to arrive with the ring, make your heartfelt proposal, capture the moment, and revel in the joy of the occasion.

At A Picnic Affair, we recommend planning your proposal during golden hour  just before sunset  when the lighting is soft, romantic, and perfect for photography. This timing creates a magical atmosphere, especially for outdoor or rooftop proposals, with breathtaking views and dreamy photos.

Public proposals are perfect if your partner loves grand gestures and sharing the moment with others, while private proposals, like rooftop experiences, create a deeply personal and romantic atmosphere.
